Today, members of the Frankfort Fire Department participated in the Mock Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Frankfort-Schuyler Junior/Senior High School to help raise awareness about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving.

The message, “No Empty Seats,” serves as a powerful reminder that every decision behind the wheel affects not only the driver, but families, friends, classmates, and the entire community. The goal is simple — make smart choices, drive responsibly, and ensure everyone makes it home safely.

We would like to thank the school administration, faculty, students, Town of Frankfort Police, Frankfort Center Fire Dept., Ilion Fire Dept., MOVAC Ambulance, coroner Vincent Iocovizzi, and Rons Service Station for coming together to make this important event possible. By working together and educating young drivers, we hope to prevent tragedies before they happen.

FSHS Parents & Guardians!

Be advised there will be a Mock Motor Vehicle Accident at the High School this morning. This event is intended to teach students about drunk/impaired driving. Emergency vehicles will be in the area with lights & sirens activated. Once again, this is a mock drill! There is NO Emergency. Let's work together to stop DWI!

Have a happy and safe prom season!

Our members took advantage of today’s Open House to practice extrication from motor vehicle accidents. We hope we never have to use these tools but must be proficient if we do.

If this might be something that interests you, we’re always looking for new members.

It is with deep regret that we share the passing of Ilion Firefighter/Paramedic Ashley Faubert. Our crews worked multiple incidents with Ashley during her time with Mohawk FD and Ilion FD. She was always smiling yet the consummate professional. Please keep her family and her IFD family in your thoughts and prayers. Godspeed Ashley and may you rest in peace.
