We regret to inform the passing of our long time firefighter Adrian Stone. Adrian devoted many years of his life in Fire and EMS. He’s held crew Chief titles with St. George and Searsport Ambulance services, along with being a paramedic with Belfast, Capital, Stockton Springs, Winterport and Bucksport Fire and Ambulance services.

He’s been an instructor, educator, coach, and mentor to so many over his career. If he was in an area where there was an emergency, he’d always stop to see if he could lend a helping hand. Adrian was our training officer and was the public health nurse for Frankfort for many years as well. The amount of lives he’s touched are endless, his smile and sense of humor was like no other.

Thank you Adrian for your years of service to the communities you served.

Rest easy brother, we have the watch from here.

Today, we learned that Assistant Chief Woodbury passed away as a result of injuries sustained during the tragic explosion at Robbins Lumber in Searsmont on May 15, 2026. Assistant Chief Woodbury had been receiving treatment at Maine Medical Center in Portland since the incident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and members of Searsmont Fire Dept during this difficult time. Rest easy Chief Woodbury. Your watch is over. We have it from here.
