Peaks Mill Elementary Franklin County Public Schools: Peaks Mill Elementary School in Frankfort, KY 40601 Peaks Mill enjoys a long history serving the Franklin County community.

In the early 1900's the first Peaks Mill School was built. Later the school burned. Built in late 1939, the second Peaks Mill School building was erected. In January of 2002, the building partially burned, but the school community worked hours to restore it and were back in the school within just a few days. This became affectionately referred to as the "Miracle at Peaks Mill." In August 2002, st

udents, staff and parents moved into the third and current building. The staff, students, parents, and community are proud of the tradition of excellence at Peaks Mill Elementary School. PME has over 420 students enrolled in grades 1-5. Doors Open: 7:15AM
School Starts: 7:40AM (Tardy at 7:41)
School Ends: 2:40PM (All picked up by 3:00)

Before we get get checked-in to summer break, mark your calendars for our annual back to school splash!
🗓️ July 20th 7-9pm for Peaks Mill Students and their families!
✅ you will check-in at the gate and confirm registration and find our your child’s teacher!
💻 you will have an opportunity to complete registration, if needed onsite!
⭐️ the PTO will be selling snacks that night at the gate!

Yesterday we celebrated our amazing 5th graders as they graduated and prepared for their next big adventure! 🎓💙

We are so proud of all they have accomplished during their time at Peaks Mill. From classroom memories to friendships and milestones, this group has left a special mark on our hearts.

Yesterday we had the honor of cheering on our graduating seniors during their senior walk through the halls! 🎓💙

Our students loved giving high fives and celebrating these amazing graduates as they took one more walk through the place where so many memories began. We are so proud of all they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

Rain couldn’t stop our fun for field day!☔🎉

Our students made the best of Indoor Field Day with games, laughter, teamwork, and lots of smiles. While we missed being outside, the energy and excitement inside the building made for a fantastic day!

A big thank you to our staff & volunteers for helping make the day special and to our students for bringing such positive attitudes and school spirit! 💙❤️🤍

As our 2023 PME graduates prepare to walk the stage and graduate 8th grade, we can’t help but reflect back and smile at the memories from their 5th grade year at PME. 💙🎓

It feels like just yesterday they were walking our halls, making memories with friends, growing in confidence, and leaving their mark on our school family. Watching them grow into the young people they are today has been such a joy, and we are so proud of all they have accomplished.

To our former PME students — keep chasing your dreams, working hard, and believing in yourselves. Your PME family will always be cheering you on! Congratulations on this exciting milestone and best wishes as you begin your high school journey. 🎉✨

Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, all Field Day activities will now take place indoors.

Because activities will be inside, students will NOT need:
☀️ Sunscreen
🧺 Towels
💦 Extra clothes for getting wet
