Sheriff Bobby Jones reports the arrest of a Pulaski man for the s*xual assault of a minor ten years ago.
William Roberts Jr., 47, of Nancy, was arrested on the night of March 13th and charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, So**my in the Second Degree, R**e in the Second Degree, and other charges. Roberts was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
Detective Branson Patterson was assigned the investigation after the Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division was contacted on March 12th by Deputy Grant Bryant, who had responded to a new allegation of s*xual assault on a minor.
During the initial period of that investigation, it was discovered that Roberts had allegedly assaulted another person, who was a minor at the time, approximately ten years ago.
Based on this information, Det. Patterson conducted interviews and collected evidence. He then applied for and received a warrant for Roberts’ arrest.
Det. Patterson was assisted by Detective Jay Picard, Sergeant Alex Wesley, Deputy Ronnie Golden, Deputy Dylan West, Deputy Jared Pierce, Deputy Grant Bryant, and the Department for Community Based Services.
