Monthly Outdoor Siren Testing is scheduled for today--Monday, June 01, 2026 at Noon

*Remember that outdoor warning sirens are designed to be heard outside.

The Frankfort/Franklin County Office of Emergency Management recommends that weather alert radios be used inside homes and buildings.

Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) are available on most mobile devices. https://www.weather.gov/wrn/wea

In the event of inclement weather, or threat of severe weather, the Outdoor Warning Siren test will be postponed

Before dry weather arrives for everyone tomorrow through the rest of the week, we'll have one more low chance for showers and storms today. The best chance for showers and storms will be in western Kentucky, and many locations will not see rain today. There is a very small chance for strong gusty winds in storms along and southwest of the dashed line on the map, with the main threat coming late this morning into the early afternoon.

Tomorrow is the first Downtown Concert Series of the season. Please see traffic impacts and road closures beginning at 1pm.

Another round of rainfall is expected today for some. Given recent heavy rainfall, and the chance for more showers and storms today, some localized flooding issues may arise, especially along and north of I-64.
