All Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Driver Licensing Regional Offices will be open this Saturday from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. No appointments, just walk on in!

As a reminder, driver and permit testing services handled by the Kentucky State Police are not offered.

KYTC’s Popup Event Program is making it easier than ever to access driver licensing services in counties without a Regional office.

At popup events, you can:
✅ Renew your license or ID card
✅ Upgrade to a REAL ID
✅ Complete a vision screening
✅ Change the name or address on your credential

Popup events provide the same services as a Regional Office, except for those requiring testing by the Kentucky State Police.

📣6:30 am update: All Regional offices will be open today, April 28.

Due to a system outage impacting licensing services, all KYTC Driver Licensing Regional Offices are canceling appointments for the remainder of today, April 27.

Customers who are already in an office or at a pop-up event will be provided with available service options based on eligibility, including renewal forms, expedited return passes, or vision screening codes for future online renewal use.

Customers needing to renew a license or ID are encouraged to review available service options at https://bit.ly/SkipTheLineDRIVE.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work quickly with our vendor to resolve the issue. Updates will be posted here as they become available.
