Why is everyone talking about nuclear power these days? The Kentucky Public Service Commission is currently studying nuclear energy, as directed by our state legislature, and to further the study the PSC held a nuclear conference on May 12 & 13 at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort. We invited experts from across the country to discuss various aspects of nuclear energy generation, including technology advancements, financing projects, environmental concerns, regulatory considerations, waste disposal issues, and community engagement.

Why is everyone talking about nuclear power these days? If you’re curious, here is an opportunity to find out why nuclear power is back in the public conversation. The Kentucky Public Service Commission is currently studying nuclear energy, as directed by our state legislature in Senate Joint Resolution 140, and to further this study we are holding a nuclear conference on May 12 & 13 at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort. We have invited experts from across the country to discuss various aspects of nuclear energy generation, including technology advancements, financing projects, environmental concerns, regulatory considerations, waste disposal issues, and community engagement.

Registration is free on Eventbrite and the website includes the full agenda. The venue will only accommodate 200, so if you do would like to attend, please register as space is very limited. Make sure to register for both days. The registration link is below.

Last week the PSC held it's third Pipeline Strike Response Training in Burlington. The training was well attended.
