UPDATE: Riverfest is postponed until next Saturday!⚠️

Due to high water levels and unsafe river conditions following this week’s rain, Bluegrass Greensource is postponing Riverfest until next weekend to ensure the safety of all participants.

We hope you’ll join us next Saturday, June 6, from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM at the Clifton Boat Ramp (15 Old Clifton Rd, Versailles, KY) for a fun, relaxing day on the river with friends and family! 🚣💧🐢

LOCKING UPDATE FOR 5/29-5/31:

Lock 1 will remain closed this weekend due to high water.
Dam pass over is safe at gauge height 18.15 and above.

Locks 2-4 are open for their regularly scheduled hours.

Lock 4 will have a delayed opening at noon.

Locks 2 and 3 should be ready for Memorial Day.

Lock 1 will open next week weather/water level dependent.

Calling on volunteers to help clean up the South Fork of the Kentucky River and protect one of our region’s most valuable natural resources. Every tire removed is a step toward cleaner water, healthier wildlife, and a better experience for everyone who paddles, fishes, and enjoys this river.

Last year a small but dedicated group retrieved around 35 tires out of a 5 mile stretch on South Fork of the Kentucky River. Let's beat that record in August 2026!

Kick off summer with children’s activities, information from local organizations and businesses, and *FREE* trials of canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards! Get outside and enjoy all that the Kentucky River has to offer.
