After spending a whole day and a half on mission planning, soldiers of the MPAD spent some time at West Sixth Farm in Frankfort to unwind for a few hours of unit MWR time.

This year, soldiers of the unit have been imbedded with other units across the Kentucky Army National Guard to provide public affairs support during their annual trainings and war fighters.

This weekend we had the honor of serving one last drill with SPC Harrison Moore. He is leaving us after six solid years serving the commonwealth and nation as a public affairs specialist. From Mayfield, Ky., to Townsville, Australia, SPC Moore excelled in his duties as a military journalist. We wish him nothing but the best for his future.

How to get that shot: Behind every powerful image and gripping video is a story of determination and skill. Check out SFC Andy Dickson donning the M-50 Joint Service General Purpose Mask and follow competitors through a CS gas chamber at Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center to capture intense moments from the CBRN challenge at the 2023 KY BWC.

Let’s give it up for his outstanding work behind the camera—under the toughest conditions!

The weapons qualification drill is one of the busiest drills of the year.

There are lots of moving parts, places to be, and boxes to check, but most importantly, lots of smiles, laughter, and an abundance of memories we, as the 133rd family, go home with.

Great job this year, team!
