Happy First Library Card and Happy (Almost) Birthday to Carson!

Happy First Library Card and Happy (Almost) Birthday to Carson!

Alright, y’all gotta meet our friend Carson!

Here’s what you need to know about Carson. First and foremost — it’s ALMOST his birthday!

Second, he and his grandma, Cassandra, dropped by yesterday to get him his first library card ever! 🎉🎉

Cassandra said she wanted her grandson to have a library card to encourage him to read more books. She said he’s a smart kid who does well in school and she is so proud of him.

Carson likes to read Dr. Seuss and Pete the Cat books. He left with a stack a few inches tall, but was most excited about the Flash.

Youth library cards are attached to a parent or guardian’s library card. To receive a youth library card, the minor must be present at the time of application. For more information, call 270-887-4262.

A child's first library card is a beautiful thing. We hope Kaisley has many more great moments at Bullitt County Public Library 😄

We love it when an impromptu library visit becomes so much more! 📚✨

Rachel originally came in to borrow one thing and ended up leaving with a shiny new library card, a pile of books, 8 DVDs, and a play parachute from our Library of Things! The next day, she returned with her daughter for their first visit together and signed Kaisley up for a card, too.

Welcome to BCPL, Rachel and Kaisley. We're so happy you stopped by! 💖
