Yesterday, Governor Andy Beshear and Senior Advisor Rocky Adkins were joined by local officials in Lexington to share that the time for Pre-K for All is now.

We know that pre-K works. It's worked in states like Alabama, West Virginia, and Oklahoma to help their kids get a head start. Kentucky's kids deserve that same opportunity.

He shared how Pre-K for All will help communities and businesses across Kentucky by giving more families access to early childhood education.

Last week, after speaking in Ashland, Governor Andy Beshear headed to Northern Kentucky to share more about how Pre-K for All will help build Kentucky's economy.

Studies show that expanding preschool access has a 10 to 1 return on investment. Pre-K for All lets more parents enter the workforce, it helps kids be more likely to go to college and have a job, and it grows communities by providing families with more local opportunities.

We've seen in the data that when kids attend pre-K, they are more likely to have a job, less likely to get addicted to drugs, and less likely to be arrested later in life. By starting our kids off strong now, we help our communities later.

At yesterday's Team Kentucky Update, Governor Beshear was joined by Rep. Tina Bojanowski and Rep. Anne Gay Donworth to share that four bills have been filed in the General Assembly to make Pre-K for All a reality in the Commonwealth.

HB 572, HB 574, SB 165, and SB 166 would give our kids the start in school they deserve, help Kentucky families get back on their feet, and prepare our communities to succeed into the future.
