After storms and other disasters, fraudsters and scam artists often arrive quickly so it is important to stay alert to frauds and scams:
✅ A tree removal service may claim tree removal is covered by insurance, however your policy may state that tree removal is covered if the tree fell on your home, but not in your driveway.
✅Do not take a contractor’s word that insurance will pay for their service. Always verify with your insurance company.
✅ Do not sign any documents until you fully understand what you are signing. Beware of pressure to sign documents presented electronically, like on an iPad, that you cannot fully read and review.

After storms and other disasters, fraudsters and scam artists often arrive quickly so it's important to stay alert to frauds and scams:
☑️Many fraudsters travel from state to state. If you're working with contractors you don't know, find out where they're from and research them thoroughly.
☑️Before you sign any papers or pay any money to a contractor, ask for references.

Graduating from high school or college gives students new responsibilities, like renting new digs, starting a job and meeting financial obligations that go along with “adulting.” Here are tips for understanding basic car insurance coverage:
• For cheaper car insurance it’s smart to stay on your parent’s policy, if possible. If you need a policy, get several quotes, and ask about discounts for good grades, safe driving courses, and policy bundling with your renter insurance.
• Always speak to a licensed insurance agent regarding all your insurance options and compare several companies before purchasing any insurance policy.
