Names have been changed to protect identity 😆 can't make this up yall!

Forrest sees Jenny on the side of the road and decides to give her a ride to town. On the way into town Jenny decides to hang out of the vehicle while not wearing a seatbelt. Forrest attempts to get Jenny back in the vehicle, and thus his driving becomes erratic and someone calls in the behavior. Officer McKinney observes Jenny hanging out the window, and both her and Forrest without their seatbelts. Officer McKinney pulls the vehicle over and while speaking with Jenny discovers an open container of alcohol in her possession. Later Officer McKinney discovers Jenny has an active warrant for her arrest, and Jenny is placed into custody, and Forrest is issued a citation for no seatbelt.

Sometimes it's better to leave that "box of chocolates" on the side of the road, cause "you never know what you're gonna get"!

Warning for all of you that think we are out to get ya! If you think stop signs are options please avoid the SPRINGS! ...

HWY 145 and HWY 51 are back open! We would like to thank Franklin Co 911, Franklin Co EMS, Franklin Co. Sheriff's Department, Franklin Springs, Sandy Cross, and Royston Fire Departments, Ga DOT, and Ga Motor Carrier Compliance for their assistance. And a huge that a boy! to Welborn's Towing and Seymour's Towing for their quick response and clean up efforts.

Your side by side CAN NOT BE OPERATED on Hwy 29, Hwy 327, or Hwy 145 inside the city limits of the SPRINGS period! If your mawmaw/pawpaw, the "lady" at the tag office, another police chief, or the sheriff tells you otherwise 😆 🤣 please make sure you have them with you at all times so we can verify they told you such, and clarify the confusion on their part! Violators WILL BE CITED, and your side by side will be TOWED! UPDATE: Our intent in this post was to focus just on the law pertaining to the city only. We do not enforce or police roadways outside the city. Said vehicles can be operated on county roads only when said vehicles have meet all requirements set forth by your individual county and state law, but can not be operated on state and federal roadways within the state.

Today, officers from multiple agencies attended an interview and interrogation class put on by the newly formed Northern Circuit Public Safety Training Group. We were extremely excited to host this 3 day event. What a valuable option for the law enforcement of Franklin County to provide superior training classes within the Circuit.
