MARCH 2, 2026 CLOSURE DATE.
THE CENTERVILLE BRIDGE ACROSS THE BAYOU TECHE WILL BE CLOSED TO ALL VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ONLY FOR AN ESTIMATED PERIOD OF 8 WEEKS. IT WILL BE OPEN TO MARINE(BOAT) TRAFFIC . THIS BRIDGE CONNECTS LA 182 TO VERDUNVILLE ROAD HWY 87. USE LA 182 AS A DETOUR.
RESIDENTS, SCHOOLS, BUSINESSES, EMERGENCY VEHICLES WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS.
THE DETOUR ROUTE FROM CENTERVILLE WILL BE LA 182 TO FRANKLIN AND CROSS THE BAYOU TECHE BRIDGE ON WILLOW STREET IN FRANKLIN AND THEN ONTO HWY 87.
NOTE THIS IS A HARD-SET DATE GIVEN TO OUR OFFICE BY DOTD. SHOULD ANYTHING CHANGE ST MARY OEP WILL LET YOU KNOW.
PARISH DEPARTMENTS SHOULD LET GARBAGE COLLECTION, WATER, SEWER DISTRICTS, UTILITY COMPANIES, KNOW OF THIS CLOSURE.
CENTERVILLE RESIDENTS PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD BY SOCIAL MEDIA. PLEASE LET ANY AGENCIES THAT HAVE ROUTES OR HAVE CUSTOMERS, PATIENTS KNOW.
LOCAL LAW, FIRE, MEDICAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS SHOULD IMPLEMENT PLANS TO ADAPT TO THIS BRIDGE CLOSURE.
