Good afternoon Robertson County.
Folks with the lack of rain and this unreal heatwave, things are primed to burn. The dry weather, the heat, and this wind we could easily get a wildland fire going that could prove to be difficult to put out. Please continue being careful when it comes to outside activities. Things like cooking, mowing, welding, or anything else that could cause a spark, can set off a wildfire. Please Stay Safe and Stay Blessed.

The Franklin Police Department is saddened to hear the passing of reserve officer Rene Ferrell.

Mr Ferrell served with the Hearne Police Department, the Robertson County Drug Task Force before coming to the city of Franklin Police Department.

Mr Ferrell served honorably with the Franklin Police Department as a full time officer and Reserve Officer.

The City of Franklin’s thoughts and prayers go out to all family and friends.
