🏈💙 More Than a Game 💙🏈

Tonight’s game may not have gone our way on the scoreboard, but this moment is what it’s truly all about.

At the end of the night, players, coaches, and staff from both teams came together on the field—showing that competition can end when the final whistle blows, but friendship, sportsmanship, respect, and fellowship go far beyond the game.

These are the moments we want our student-athletes to remember. We can compete hard, represent our schools with pride, and still come together as one.

Thank you to our opponents for sharing this moment with our Wildcats tonight. This is bigger than football. 🏈🙏

🎉 STAFF SPOTLIGHT | I LOVE WEST VIRGINIA PUBLIC SCHOOLS 💙🤍🐾

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Mrs. Allison Vincell, our Spanish Teacher and a proud Wildcat for 17 years!

Mrs. Vincell has been part of PCHS since August 2009, and her love for teaching comes from seeing those special moments when a student finally understands something new — when their “mental lightbulb” shines! 💡📚

She believes West Virginia public schools are at the heart of our communities, providing students with a safe place to learn, grow, mature, participate in athletics and activities, and become contributing members of society.

💃 Fun Fact: Before becoming a Wildcat, Mrs. Vincell was a Division I dance team member at High Point University for three years!

For Mrs. Vincell, being a Wildcat has also meant something especially meaningful — getting to be part of her own children’s educational journeys. From having her Spanish students read to them when they were in elementary school to cheering them on from the sidelines and dugouts, PCMHS has given her the opportunity to make memories with her family that will last a lifetime. 💙

Thank you, Mrs. Vincell, for 17 years of dedication to our students, our school, and our community. We are proud to have you as part of our Wildcat family!

🐾💙 PCHS ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT | CLASS OF 2006 💙🐾

As part of our celebration of , we are proud to highlight the incredible accomplishments of graduates who got their start right here at Pendleton County High School!

🇺🇸⚓ This week’s Alumni Spotlight: John Anderson, Class of 2006

John joined the United States Navy in March 2007. After graduating from Boot Camp, he reported to Naval Submarine School and began his naval career as a Submariner.

Throughout his career, John has served aboard six nuclear-powered submarines, completed two Western Pacific deployments, helped commission two Virginia-class submarines, participated in multiple domestic and international maritime exercises, and helped develop and test new military radar and atmosphere-monitoring systems for future submarines.

Today, John serves as the Navigation Leading Chief Petty Officer aboard the USS IOWA (SSN 797), homeported in Groton, Connecticut. In March 2027, John is set to retire after an incredible 20 years of service to our country. 🇺🇸

John currently resides in Lisbon, Connecticut, with his wife, Megan, and their collection of animals.

💙 John, thank you for your dedication, leadership, and service to our country. We are incredibly proud to call you a Pendleton County High School Wildcat! Your story is a wonderful example of the places a West Virginia public school education can take our students.
