Recently, our Nonfiction team at the high school hosted the annual "Wonder Fair." Students presented research projects that they've been working on in our Nonfiction class. Junior and Senior students were tasked with composing a research question around something they've always wondered about. Then, through a series of lessons and activities related to researching, synthesizing research findings, citing, note-taking, and researching more, students created a speech that identified their main findings/conclusions and engaged their audience in some form of interactive activity. Students presented these speeches to an authentic audience (students and staff at the high school) during the Nonfiction Wonder Fair.
