lity District, Mallory Valley Utility District, Nolensville College Grove Utility District, City of Franklin, City of Brentwood, and the Water Authority of Dickson County all located within Williamson County. Harpeth Valley Utilities District supplies water to Milcrofton where it travels underground all the way from the Cumberland River in Nashville. On 10/6/2024 our customer portal system had an error in the calculation on the meter data it receives and then computes customer usages to send out abnormally high or potential leak notifications. That error only impacted the customer portal and automated notification system only. Milcrofton was not hacked or had any information compromised. It was simply a software issue and we appoligize for any inconvenience it may have caused.

The problem has been corrected, portal data updated, and another notification explaining there was an error was to be sent to all those customers that received the initial error message. Again we are sorry for any issues this may have caused and we'll continue to strive to offer the best customer service possible like the notification features offered from our customer portal.

Please leave your water running at a trickle just past a steady drip especially when the forecast is in the teens and single digits. This morning the feel like temperature is -6 degrees. Leaving water running will be less expensive than having a pipe burst and will not cause you the inconvenience of not having water when you need it.

Always feel free to call us for assistance.

It is that time of year that colder weather is upon us. Consider leaving a faucet at the far end of your house dripping steadily to keep water moving so it does not freeze. Also consider leaving a used welcome mat (with rubber backing) over your meter box to hold in the ground heat or a bale of straw on top of the water meter box to prevent your service from freezing.

If you are going out of town turn off the service at the meter box and open your waterlines in the house to drain the lines and allow air into the pipes for expansion should they freeze (don't forget to turn off any faucets after draining the waterlines). One customer stated the HOA won't allow a welcome mat over the water meter or a bale of straw on the meter box. Consider running an extension cord and using some electrical heat wrap to keep things warm in the meter box as an alternative. Any of these suggestions above will be helpful when battling the artic air that's headed our way.
