Healing is possible. 🤍 Children receiving trauma informed therapy through Child Advocacy Centers showed significant decreases in PTSD symptoms after treatment, with a recent study finding average trauma scores dropped from 20.86 to 8.96, below clinically significant levels. Nearly 97% of caregivers also reported their child felt safe during the healing process.
At Davis House CAC, children and families have access to trauma focused therapy at no cost, helping children process abuse in a safe, supportive environment. Our Clinical Therapist is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and EMDR, and children are often supported alongside our therapy dog as ealing begins. Help provide hope and healing for children in Williamson County by making a donation today at the link in our bio/website.
