Davis House Child Advocacy Center

Davis House Child Advocacy Center Davis House Child Advocacy Center serves as a first responder in cases of alleged child abuse in Williamson County, TN.

Davis House Child Advocacy Center opened in September 2000 to provide a safe, child-friendly place for children to tell their story and receive healing services. Davis House served 530 children from our four county service area in FY20. The mission of Davis House is to provide investigative, advocacy, family support, and therapeutic services to children who have experienced sexual or significant p

hysical abuse or some other traumatic event, as well as trauma informed community education, designed to guide our towns and civic spaces to be safer and more resilient for everyone. Child abuse does not just affect the child. Once disclosure is made, the entire family is in crisis. Our dual goal: to treat the child and the family as they heal from the trauma of abuse; and to educate caregivers and our collaborative partners in order to better protect children.

One of the moments we shared during Button Ball was a closer look at the heart of Davis House. If you joined us Saturday, thank you for being part of such a meaningful evening. If you couldn’t make it, we’d love to share a glimpse of the work that happens here every day.

As Williamson County’s only Child Advocacy Center, Davis House CAC provides a safe, child-focused environment where children who have experienced abuse can receive forensic interviews, child and family advocacy, trauma-informed therapy, and coordinated support, all at no cost to the families we serve.

Every child deserves the chance to heal and write a brighter chapter. Thank you for becoming the hero in a child’s story by helping us raise awareness, strengthen our community’s response to child abuse, and ensure local children and families have the support they need when they need it most. 🤍🛡️

This National Forensic Interviewers Week, we’re celebrating the compassionate professionals who help children find their voice. Every day, Anahi and Brandi create a safe, child friendly environment where children can share their experiences in their own words, helping begin the path toward healing while supporting the investigative process. We are grateful for the empathy, professionalism, and unwavering dedication they bring to every child and family they serve. 💙

Want to help make this work possible? Join us at Button Ball: Once Upon A Time on Saturday, August 1, and help ensure children in our community continue to receive these life changing services at no cost. Tickets are available now through the link in our bio. We hope to see you there! ✨

The first step in a child abuse investigation is NOT an interrogation. It’s a forensic interview.🧸

As Detective Andrea Clark with the Franklin Police Department shares, every one of her investigations begins with a forensic interview. Conducted by specially trained professionals at a Child Advocacy Center, forensic interviews provide children with a safe, child friendly environment where they can share their experiences in their own words. This single conversation is a critical step in both the pursuit of justice and a child’s journey toward healing. ⚖️ ❤️‍🩹

But You Can Make a Difference! ✨🙌🏼 Help us raise awareness this National Forensic Interviewers Week by sharing this reel with a friend. The more people understand what a forensic interview is and why it matters, the better we can support children and families in our community.

Today, we’re celebrating freedom. 🇺🇸 But for too many children in our community, freedom from the fear and trauma of abuse is still something they’re fighting for. This Fourth of July, will you help us continue that fight with a $4 donation?

Just $4 can help a child sit safely with a trained forensic interviewer, begin trauma-informed therapy, and receive the support they need to start healing—all at no cost to their family.

As we celebrate our nation’s independence, let’s also help give children the freedom to heal. ❤️ Donate $4 today by clicking the link in our bio or visiting https://secure.qgiv.com/for/1sfc Every dollar helps rewrite a child’s story.
