The Franklin Police Department responded to 49 calls for service over the past weekend and made the following arrests:

Patrick Lumpkin, 44, of Andrus Dr., Crowley, LA, was arrested on August 29, 2026, at 1:25 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding, and on a warrant for St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office for theft. Lumpkin was booked, processed, and held on a $1,648.00 bond.

Ananenia Dauphine, 32, of Canal Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 29, 2026, at 8:41 PM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of careless operation and driving under suspension. Dauphine was booked, processed, and released on a $313.00 bond.

The Franklin Police Department responded to 11 calls for service over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:

Amber Duhon, 41, of Kirk St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 25, 2026, at 7:30 PM, on the charges of turning movements and required signals and expired driver’s license. Duhon was booked, processed, and held on a $125.00 bond.

Dyjawyne Darby, 24, of Ninth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 26, 2026, at 3:04 AM, on the charge of prevention of youth access to to***co law. Darby was booked, processed, and released on a $500.00 bond.

The Franklin Police Department will be participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

The campaign’s focus is to raise awareness of the dangers of driving impaired, by the use of intoxicating beverages and illegal substances. Officers with the Franklin Police Department will be strictly enforcing sobriety laws and other traffic violations.

Remember “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”

The Franklin Police Department responded to 48 calls for service over the past weekend and made the following arrests:

Lee Butler, 59, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 21, 2026, at 1:23 PM, on the charge of theft. Butler was booked, processed, and released to appear in Third Ward City Court.

LaQuisha Davis, 36, of Cayce St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 23, 2026, at 3:09 AM, on a warrant dated October 20, 2025, for simple assault, cyberstalking, and intimidation and interference in the operation of schools. Davis was booked, processed, and held on a $6,000.00 bond.

Jamie Jones, 49, of Third St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 23, 2026, 11:33 AM, on the charge of driving under suspension. Jones was booked, processed, and released on a $1,000.00 bond.

Carl Joseph, Jr., 32, of Curtis Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 23, 2026, at 3:59 PM, on the charge of remaining where forbidden. Joseph was booked, processed, and held on a $500.00 bond.

Antoine Jones, 36, of Georgetown Rd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 20, 2026, at 10:54 AM, on the charges of proper equipment display of plate required on vehicles, turning movements and required signals, possession of ma*****na with intent to distribute, possession of synthetic ma*****na with intent to distribute, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, and on a warrant for parole violation. Jones was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

Kurt Chapman, 39, of Magnolia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 19, 2026, at 11:48 AM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of remaining where forbidden. Chapman was booked, processed, and released on a $610.00 bond.

Keanan Gauthier, 27, of L Dubois Rd., New Iberia, LA, was arrested on August 19, 2026, at 12:50 PM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, no insurance, and expired license plate. Gauthier was booked, processed, and released on a $413.00 bond.

Tyajah Freeman, 21, of Clay St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2026, at 7:42 PM, on warrants for disturbing the peace and simple battery – 2 counts. Freeman was booked, processed, and released on a $1,500.00 bond.

Tlayah Freeman, 19, of Clay St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2026, at 9:30 PM, on a warrant for simple battery. Freeman was booked, processed, and released on a $500.00 bond.

The Franklin Police Department responded to 44 calls for service over the past weekend and made the following arrests:

David Norris, 57, of Kirk St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 14, 2026, at 6:21 AM, on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine), obstructing a fireman, and open burning prohibited. Norris was booked, processed, and held on a $7,050.00 bond.

Vernija Loston, 27, of Tenth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 14, 2026, at 4:30 PM, on the charge of simple criminal damage to property. Loston was booked, processed, and released on a $500.00 bond.

Michael Payton, 38, of North Branch St., Baldwin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2026, at 3:15 AM, on the charges of simple battery and disturbing the peace by language. Payton was additionally arrested on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and resisting arrest. Payton was booked, processed, and held on a $3,738.00 bond.
