The Franklin Police Department responded to 47 calls for service over the past weekend and made the following arrests:

Stephen Murray, 42, of Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 5, 2026, at 6:30 PM, on the charge of disturbing the peace by language. Murray was booked, processed, and held on a $1,000.00 bond.

James Murray, 38, of Oakdale St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 5, 2026, at 6:30 PM, on the charge of disturbing the peace by language. Murray was booked, processed, and released on a $1,000.00 bond.

June 5, 2026

On November 12, 2025, the Franklin Police Department responded to a residential burglary. During the course of the investigation, persons of interest were identified and felony warrants were obtained for the following arrests.

Justin Adams, 48, of Patton St., Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 4, 2026, on a warrant for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and illegal possession of stolen things over $25,000.00.

Curtis Richard, 49, of Glenwood St., Morgan City, LA, was arrested on June 4, 2026, on a warrant for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and illegal possession of stolen things over $25,000.00.

The third suspect has been identified as Kelly Wiggins.

Kelly Wiggins is wanted for principal to simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and principal to illegal possession of stolen things over $25,000.00.

Brendan Comeaux, 32, of Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 4, 2025, at 6:31 PM, on warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension, and resisting an officer. Comeaux was booked, processed, and held on a $926.00 bond.

Christopher Paul, 49, of James St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 1, 2026, at 9:25 PM, on a warrant for St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for possession of a firearm by person convicted of domestic violence battery. Paul was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

The Franklin Police Department responded to 32 calls for service over the past weekend and made the following arrests:

Terrence Venson, 32, of Easy St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 29, 2026, at 9:28 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of no seat belt and driver must be licensed. Venson was booked, processed, and released on a $325.00 bond.

Andrea Green, 53, of Prairie Road Circle, Centerville, LA, was arrested on May 29, 2026, at 2:14 PM, on the charges of improper display of license plate and possession of schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine). Green was booked, processed, and released on a $7,500.00 bond.

Forrest Jeanlouis, 45, of Marylee St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 29, 2026, at 3:17 PM, on the charges of driving under suspension and stop sign violation. Jeanlouis was booked, processed, and released on a $405.00 bond.

Alpacino Greco, 50, of Jackson St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 30, 2026, at 7:48 AM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule II and possession of drug paraphernalia. Greco was additionally arrested on the charge of possession of schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine). Greco was booked, processed, and held on a $5,500.00 bond.

Djuanielle Diggs, 40, of Oakdale St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 31, 2026, at 2:58 AM, on the charge of attempted third degree r**e. Diggs was booked, processed, and held on a $75,000.00 bond.

Landon Meyerholtz, 22, of Palfrey St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 31, 2026, at 3:38 PM, on the charges of violation of registration provisions, evidence of motor vehicle liability security contained in vehicle, possession of ma*****na, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Meyerholtz was additionally arrested on a warrant for 7th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of registration and MVI sticker. Meyerholtz was booked, processed, and held on a $2,000.00 bond.

Bernard Babino, 51, of Tabor St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 31, 2026, at 4:11 PM, on the charge of domestic abuse battery - 2nd offense. Babino was booked, processed, and held on a $15,000.00 bond.

Tevin Colbert, 33, of Chinaberry St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 31, 2026, at 5:20 PM, on the charge of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. Colbert was booked, processed, and released on a $9,000.00 bond.

The Franklin Police Department responded to 19 calls for service over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:

Dewan Edmond, 21, of Dinkins Rd., Charenton, LA, was arrested on May 28, 2026, at 3:50 PM, on a warrant dated June 18, 2025, for indecent behavior with juvenile. Edmond was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

Fantasia Elzy, 21, of Willow St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 28, 2026, at 3:50 PM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of disturbing the peace by fighting and simple battery. Elzy was booked, processed, and released on a $468.00 bond.

The Franklin Police Department responded to 92 calls for service and made the following arrests:

Juvenile was arrested on May 22, 2026, at 6:51 AM, on the charges of ungovernable juvenile, no driver's license, failure to register, curfew violation, and impeding the flow of traffic.

Avery Clay, 19, of Caldwell Sugar Rd., Youngsville, LA, was arrested on May 22, 2026, at 10:57 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of no seat belt. Clay was additionally arrested on warrants for City Court of Lafayette for failure to appear on the charges of failure to yield at a stop sign, failure to secure a driver's license, hit and run driving, and improper lane change. Clay was booked, processed, and transported to the Lafayette Marshal's Office.

Omeris Capellanpenzo, 27, of Bonura Dr., St. Rose, LA, was arrested on May 22, 2026, at 4:46 PM, on the charge of no driver's license. Capellanpenzo was booked, processed, and released on a $245.00 bond.

Keiarius Gordon, 36, of Plantation Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 25, 2026, at 5:31 PM, on the charges of no seat belt, driving under suspension, no insurance, and no registration. Gordon was booked, processed, and released on a $1,162.00 bond.

Patrick Lumpkin, 44, of East Andrus Dr., Crowley, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 10:38 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding. Lumpkin was booked, processed, and held on a $450.00 bond.

Ronald Lumpkin, 48, of Curtis Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 27, 2026, at 11:12 AM, on the charges of resisting an officer by refusing to identify and resisting an officer. Lumpkin was booked, processed, and held on a $5,000.00 bond.

The Franklin Police Department will be participating in the Click It or Ticket Campaign, by issuing tickets to anyone not wearing a seat belt.

We have to always wear our seat belts and make sure infants and children are in an age and size appropriate child seat. Click It or Ticket is a national campaign that the LHSC supports through disbursement of federal funds to law enforcement agencies to provide extra personnel during the campaign.

Breyonna Verret, 24, of Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA, was arrested on May 20, 2026, at 1:56 PM, on a warrant dated March 13, 2026, for theft. Verret was booked, processed, and released on a $1,500.00 bond.

Joyce Jones, 74, of Kerry St., Baldwin, LA, was arrested on May 20, 2026, at 2:44 PM, on the charge of criminal trespassing. Jones was booked, processed, and released on a $500.00 bond.

Shane King, 49, of Tyler Ln., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 20, 2026, at 3:18 PM, on the charges of speeding, reckless operation, and possession of alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle. King was booked, processed, and released on a $1,072.00 bond.

Tejay Holmes, 32, of Pecan Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2026, at 9:04 AM, on the charges of speeding and reckless operation. Holmes was booked, processed, and released on a $740.00 bond.

Jaydon Richard, 21, of Lee Charles St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2026, at 9:06 AM, on the charges of disturbing the peace by language – 2 counts and resisting an officer – 3 counts. Richard was booked, processed, and held on a $9,500.00 bond.

Bobby Lockett, 63, of Anderson St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2026, at 9:51 PM, on the charges of stop sign violation, no license plate light, no insurance, possession of alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle, and possession of a legend drug without a prescription. Lockett was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.

Dennis Delasbour, 54, of Pine St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 18, 2026, at 10:13 PM, on a warrant for bicycle lights required. Delasbour was booked, processed, and held on a $250.00 bond.
