Here is a press release concerning results for the March 3rd 2026 Primary Election. Due to an issue in Halifax County with a precinct opening 1 hour late, results statewide will be delayed until the polls close there. We are uploading results on time in Macon County but results of the election will be not be reported state wide until 8:30 PM when the polls close in Halifax County.

We are looking for Precinct workers to help out in the 2026 Elections. We mostly need folks in the Highlands area or people that would not mind driving to Highlands that day with paid mileage. Voter Registration Deadline is Friday February 6th 2026 at 5:00 PM any changes of address, party , name must be completed by that date and time.

All Macon County Offices including the Board of Elections will be closed Monday, February 2nd. We hope to be open on Tuesday, but we will keep you posted as we receive updates.
