This page is meant to share important and meaningful information about Poplar Grove Middle School with our families, employees and the greater community. We strive to keep an open forum on this page, where all opinions are welcome and respected. To help us accomplish this goal we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:

• Engage in open conversation not personal issues. T

his page is not intended to circumvent regular communication channels for sharing personal issues and concerns. Comments regarding a personal issue with the school or district, a school or staff member will be removed.

• Be respectful. Personal attacks or comments that are deemed offensive to any member of our community will not be tolerated. Inappropriate remarks, profanity and abusive language of any kind will not be tolerated. Any messages that contain obscenities or personal attacks will be deleted, and anyone posting such messages will be blocked from commenting on this page.

• Refrain from posting personal business or political activities, events, etc. Our page is for the purpose of to sharing news and insights about our school and activities.

• Stay on topic. Let’s keep the conversation related to our school and activities. Comments of all kinds are welcome so long as they directly relate to PGMS and its activities.

• Have a question for a specific employee? Contact them privately. Fans should not expect responses to every question or comment posted on this page.

• Be aware of the mission. The mission of Poplar Grove Middle is education. Please be certain that your comments are appropriate for an educational environment and fans of all ages.

• Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. False information, rumors and idle speculation on important district matters will be closely monitored and often deleted in order to maintain only the most accurate information.

• All comments and communication must come from a verifiable account. Comments made by individuals who are misrepresenting themselves, representing themselves as someone other than themselves or from unverifiable accounts, will be removed. We want you to feel comfortable sharing your views about our school and its activities. Failure to comply with the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting and/or the blocking/removal from our fan page. Congratulations to Audrey Baer, FSD’s July Artist of the Month!

Audrey, a rising eighth-grade student at Poplar Grove Middle School, created this dessert-inspired piece as part of a still-life study using oil pastels. Students selected a dessert as their reference while focusing on color theory, color customization, texture, and shading. Audrey’s piece, along with other FSD student artwork, is on display in the Central Office lobby gallery.

A few spots remain in WeeMAC’s preschool and pre-K programs for the upcoming school year. Families interested in a caring and engaging early learning environment are encouraged to contact WeeMAC soon to schedule a tour or learn more.

Something exciting has landed!
Our new Redbird LD Flight Simulator has arrived, giving our aerospace students the opportunity to experience aviation through realistic, hands-on flight training. Students will learn the fundamentals of flying, navigation, decision-making, and problem-solving while exploring exciting STEM and career pathways in aviation.
