Tori Heavner spent her first day of summer break at the Eastern Regional Limousin Show competing in the Judging Contest and Stockman’s Challenge. Tori competed as an individual and brought home First Place Junior! We are so proud of her and all her hard work! 🏆

Livestock producers in the Eastern United States are invited to participate in a research study exploring perspectives on virtual fencing technologies and their role in the future of livestock management.

The study is being conducted by Meghan Pantaleo, a recent WVU graduate. Researchers are seeking input from producers both with and without experience using virtual fencing.

Participation includes a one-hour phone interview. Interested participants can review the information below to learn more and sign up.

As of this morning’s Drought Monitor update, Pendleton County and surrounding areas have progressed to D3 – Extreme Drought conditions. This classification does not include the rainfall received yesterday and this morning.

Historically, drought at this level results in widespread crop and pasture losses, with water flow becoming extremely reduced or even ceasing in some areas.

More information regarding drought impacts, resources, and eligible funding programs will be shared as it becomes available.

Applications for the 2026 Summer Program are due May 15! Please get those applications in! They can be picked up at the elementary schools or via e-mail at request. Reach out to [email protected] if you would like a copy e-mailed to you.

Each summer, we are able to provide meals to the wonderful children of Energy Express. These meals also offer a space where children can create bonds that may last a lifetime!
