Free Kid's Activities will be part of the Town of Franklin's Independence Day Celebration! There will be free inflatables and a water feature provided by Franklin Fire - Rescue. Make sure your young ones are dressed to get wet!

"Pickin' on the Square" returns this Saturday, June 27th, featuring Arnold Hill! Always a favorite at "Pickin'", Arnold Hill performs a great mix of Alternative Rock & Americana! This free event gets underway at 6:00pm at the Gazebo on the Square in Downtown Franklin. We always have food vendors on hand and you can also enjoy one of our many great restaurants in the downtown area. Bring your lawn chair and join us for this great evening of free music! Great contests are also part of the Town of Franklin's Independence Day Parade & Celebration! There's the Little Miss and Little Mr. Firecracker Contests scheduled after the parade at 11:30am. Again, no registration and no entry fee. Just be at the Gazebo on the Square to sign up. This contest is open to ages 10 & under and is judged on patriotic costume and one question.

Following will be the Annual Patriotic Pet Contest! This is always a great deal of fun as well. So dress your pets in red, white and blue as they will be judged on their patriotic attire. Trophies are awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. Again, no preregistration or entry fee! Contest will also be held at the Gazebo.

Don your Red, White & Blue and join in the Town of Franklin's Annual Independence Day Parade and Celebration! The hours for th event are from 10am to 2pm in downtown. The parade is open to all! No registration, no fees ... just be in the lower level parking lot at Franklin Town Hall beginning at 10:30am for lineup (95 East Main Street). Entrants can walk, drive or ride. The same applies for pets. Come join in the fun as we celebration America's 250th Birthday!

The Parade will travel down Main Street, turning up Macon Avenue and disband along Church Street.

Following the parade, the Town of Franklin we will be serving FREE cold watermelon as long as it lasts!

The Macon County 250th Committee wants everyone to have a good time during the Fun & Fireworks in the Park on Saturday, July 4th beginning at 4:00 p.m.

There are a few rules to keep in mind to be safe and considerate of others.

NO Drones in the park or in fireworks fallout zone area.

NO Alcoholic Beverages allowed.

NO Fireworks are allowed in the park ... this includes sparklers, firecrackers and poppers.

Once the fireworks are onsite NO ONE is allowed in the safety or fallout zone.

We recommend leaving pets at home but if bringing ... ALL PETS MUST be on Leashes at All TIMES.

Both the Franklin Police and Macon County Sheriff's Departments will be on site monitoring activities.
