The Williamson County Democratic Women group is a member of the Tennessee Federation of Democratic Women (TFDW). The purpose of the WCDW is : to encourage and stimulate Democratic women to take an active interest in party matters; to inform Democratic women and the community on major issues of government and politics and to encourage women to run for political office; to sponsor activities of the

Williamson County Democratic Party, the Tennessee Democratic Party, and the Democratic National Committee; and to endorse and actively support Democratic nominees in all general elections. Williamson County Democratic Party - WCDP

The Williamson County Homeless Alliance wants to build a transitional housing community that would allow people facing housing insecurity to stay for a period of time as they work, save money and move into their own place.

“People in their 60s and 70s are coming to us, they’re living in their cars, because they’ve lost their house, or more often than not, they’ve lost their apartment, because rents have escalated so quickly,” said Pastor Kevin Riggs, the executive director of the alliance. "...There's not much of a middle class."
