We will continually strive to protect and promote the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Franklin and Southampton County through effective administration of the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and other applicable City and County land use regulations.
Our Goals:
We will work to balance industrial, commercial and residential development and revitalization without placing a strain on municipal services and infrastructure through sound comprehensive planning.
We will promote a sense of pride in residents, landlords, and tenants to maintain their properties through active enforcement of housing and environmental codes.
We will make customer service and cooperation with other City and County departments foremost to ensure this vision always stays in clear focus.
Through these efforts, we will work to respect the past, strengthen the present, and encourage the future of Franklin and Southampton County for the benefit of its citizens and property owners.
