FRANKLIN CITY ELECTIONS for
Mayor, City Council Wards 1,2, 3 and School Board

For official information about registering to vote AND absentee voting please refer to the Official site from the Secretary of State’s Office
https://www.sos.nh.gov/sites/g/files/ehbemt561/files/inline-documents/sonh/registering-to-vote-in-new-hampshire-february-2025_3.pdf

IF YOU, MALE OR FEMALE, HAVE HAD A NAME CHANGE (different from your name on your birth certificate) for any reason, pay particular attention to page 2 under “Citizenship” for what is required to prove your citizenship.

IF THE ABOVE APPLIES TO YOU, gather the appropriate documents NOW. If you have to request them from an agency, it may take time to receive them.

(copied from the Secretary of State website)
“If you qualify to vote absentee, you will need to complete an Absentee Ballot Application (get from Franklin City Clerk’s Office) and return it to your local clerk. You can find contact information for your local clerk using our Voter Information Lookup link:
https://app.sos.nh.gov/viphome
After you have applied for an absentee ballot, you can use the Voter Information Lookup to find out if your clerk has received your request, when the absentee ballot was sent to you, and when your clerk received your completed absentee ballot.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is 12:00 p.m. the day before the election.

The deadline to request in person is 5:00 p.m. the day before the election.

The United States Postal Service recommends putting your completed absentee ballot in the mail at least one week before the election. Therefore, if you rely on receiving and returning your absentee ballot by mail, you should request your ballot more than two weeks before election day".
