A Clean Political Campaign Respects the Community.
There is no better representation of poor leadership than the toxic, crazed campaigns of Commissioner Carney, Republican GOP Chair Labarbera and Vice Chair Holstein who seek to bully, intimidate and smear innocent bystanders through their 'stolen valor' crusade. It goes to show how leadership of Sussex County does not want issue-oriented campaigns that would benefit our residents. Additionally, know that the recent politicized personal issue regarding Carney did not involve me in any fashion and should not be attributed to me.
It is time for change and for leaders to work towards correcting problems of bad governing, poor power and internet delivery, roads and bridges and coordinating with municipalities - not finding dark ways to hide or disguise problems or to avoid addressing them. - Harvey Roseff

Harvey Roseff, a Byram Councilman and candidate for Sussex County Commissioner along with Robert Kovic, is demanding that First Energy/JCP&L utilize increased *internal* funding to upgrade its equipment used to provide power to the public.
“For years now, First Energy has manhandled New Jersey’s BPU to authorize extra ratepayer charges to pay for decades of its subsidiary’s, JCP&L, neglected and outdated distribution grid,” said Roseff. “This has led to unreliable power delivery to Sussex County while the ratepayers keep paying more so that First Energy’s shareholders get more profits.” JCP&L serves 1.1 million customers in central and northern New Jersey including all or most of Sussex County.
“The distribution grid lacks modern automation and command and control methods that minimize outages and speed recovery”, said Kovic. “This must end now, and Sussex County homeowners should not bear the full costs so that shareholders receive maximum profits”.

Will Upcoming Audit Account for Million$ Provided to Sussex County Food Bank?
Or does the current Commissioner Board again ignore their duties?
Late last year, the alarm was raised that years of donations and millions of dollars are unaccounted for at the Sussex County Food Pantry. Details emerged at the public December 13, 2024, County Commissioners Meeting. The question now is whether the auditors will account for these funds that the County Commissioners, Administrator and Chief Financial Officer know have been given to the Food Pantry.

Some details divulged at the public meeting include:
- The Food Pantry operates under the County EIN tax number.
- Its prior management acknowledged large money flows yet stated there are no books.
- Receipts were found stuffed in desks, but the CFO can’t account for the department’s activity.
- Receipts at the County Government may not match what Donor’s IRS records claim.
- Commissioner Carney claimed he accounted funds “to the penny”, yet the CFO has no books.

I’ve seen this before with the Sussex County Solar Program which still loses millions every year...
