He discussed his duties at the Department of Education and the delicate, critical balance between federal, state, and local governance.

Thank you to Easterseals NH for hosting an excellent groundbreaking ceremony for Phase II of the Franklin Military and Veterans Campus! This facility is a massive benefit to our community and the veterans of New Hampshire as a whole. Our students received an informative and engaging presentation from Secretary of State David Scanlan, former Congressman Charlie Bass, and former Ambassador Richard Swett on the work of the Democracy Defense Project in promoting election security and trust in the Granite State!
Congressman Bass and Ambassador Swett once ran against each other for Congress, and despite their past differences, they work together to promote bipartisanship and the importance of building trust in the results of our electoral process. Thank you both for joining us!

Once a bear, always a bear! It was a pleasure to tour my old high school and the newly renovated Winnisquam Career Center with WiCC Principal Andrea Wujcik and WRHS Principal Eric Perry yesterday. I learned a great deal about the new resources, programs, and opportunities they’re offering our students to prepare them for life after graduation. I’m also pleased to have their support on the passage of HB1573, which will help our students find more opportunities to expand on these experiences outside of the classroom! I look forward to working with Mr. Perry and Mrs. Wujcik to continue to help our students thrive.
