Sandycreek Township in Venango County is seeking applicants to join our team in water and sewer and road maintenance. Individuals (preferred) possessing water and sewer certification and current CDL are encourage to apply. Those possessing water and sewer certification would have primary responsibility in managing the water and sewer department for Sandycreek Township. The position is typically 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Friday however; would share an on-call rotation with the other team members along with opportunities for additional overtime pay for inclement weather and emergencies outside of normal working hours.

Sandycreek Township offers competitive municipality wages and benefits including but not limited to health care, 401K contribution, and paid time off following probationary period.

Welcome to 14 new teachers at FASD. 😀🍎👩‍🏫👨🏻‍🏫🎒

We welcomed 14 new teachers to FASD this morning with our new teacher orientation. Excited for them to join our school community and all that they will bring to our district throughout the year. We are eagerly awaiting all staff, as they return tomorrow for opening professional development days. We officially welcome students back next Tuesday, Sept. 1st! Go Knights!

💻 CHROMEBOOK DISTRIBUTION | GRADES 6–12 💻

💻 CHROMEBOOK DISTRIBUTION | GRADES 6–12 💻

Franklin Area School District families: Chromebook distribution for students in grades 6–12 will take place August 26–28.

📅 Distribution Dates & Times
August 26–28: 7:30 AM–3:00 PM
🌙 Evening Hours — August 27: 5:30–7:30 PM

Can’t make one of these times? Chromebooks will also be distributed on the first day of school for families who are unable to attend the scheduled distribution dates.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Chromebook Protection Plan
All students using a school-issued Chromebook must have a parent/guardian complete the Chromebook Protection Plan Signature Page at the beginning of each school year.

Families may receive a call and email regarding a $30 invoice. This is most likely for this school year’s optional Chromebook insurance. Once you pay for or opt out of the insurance plan, you will no longer receive the call and email.

To opt out, contact the Technology Department or stop in during the scheduled distribution dates. Otherwise, you will automatically be opted out after the second week of school.

💻 OPTION 1: USE A FRANKLIN SCHOOL CHROMEBOOK

✅ Complete the Chromebook Protection Plan Signature Page:
• Online: Check your email for a message from [email protected].
• In person: Visit the Technology Department at Franklin Area High School.

🛡️ Optional Chromebook Insurance — $30

⚠️ Insurance payments are due within 2 weeks of picking up the Chromebook. If damage or theft occurs before the insurance payment is received, the payment will not be accepted for that incident.

📱 OPTION 2: BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE (BYOD)

If your student plans to use a personal device:

✅ Make sure the device is on the Student Allowed BYOD List.
✅ Print and complete both sides of the Student BYOD Form. Forms are also available at the school.
✅ Bring the completed BYOD Form AND the device with you so a technician can connect it to the school’s Wi-Fi.
