In 1999, a $100,000 bequeathal and another large gift shortly thereafter, prompted the creation of the FEF.

The Franklin Education Foundation (FEF) is a non-profit organization that was established to support the Franklin Borough School's programs, students, and staff. The Foundation’s purpose is to raise funds and use available resources to provide educational materials and programs to students that would otherwise be unavailable in these difficult economic times. Through generous donations and fundrai

sing activities, the Foundation has been able to provide many engaging programs, field trips, and learning materials above and beyond the school budget for Franklin Elementary School students. A third generous gift arrived within the first few years and the Foundation became an organization that could support innovative and creative activities for the children at Franklin Elementary School. Now, through various fundraisers, including the annual June golf outing at the Wallkill Country Club, the Foundation sustains a grant program, field trips with purposeful destinations, and activities that reach beyond the ordinary, for children to discover the world is a big place filled with opportunities to not only dream of but achieve. Today, several community leaders volunteer to serve the Foundation. The trustees are caring and dedicated individuals who support the educational program in Franklin Elementary School. Any donation of any size, participation in the FEF’s activities, and/or moral support for the children at Franklin School is greatly appreciated. Our annual golf outing fundraising event is back! Have you signed up yet? It is less than a month away!

DATE: July 14, 2026

TIME:
6:45AM - 8:00AM
Breakfast which consists of a breakfast sandwich with sausage or Taylor ham & cheese & 2 fried eggs / orange juice / coffee (regular or decaf)

7:00AM - 8:00AM
Registration / FREE use of the driving range

8:00AM - 12:30PM
Modified shotgun start to a wonderful day of golfing (will have prizes for top foursome / longest drive / closest to the pin)

12:30PM - 4:30PM
Lunch to be served in the Banquet Room - grilled chicken / Angus burgers (lettuce / tomato / red onion / American cheese) / 100% beef hot dogs / potato chips / Cole slaw / potato salad / Tortellini salad)

Dessert - brownies / house-made cookies

Beverages - soft drinks / iced tea / fresh brewed coffee (regular or decaf)

We will also be raffling different prizes and selling 50/50's!

100% of the many raised from this event will provide the students and staff of Franklin Borough School with innovative and enriching experiences throughout the school year.

If you do not want to golf, you may come for lunch. Lunch is $40 per person and is well worth it for the delicious food Black Bear serves.
