The Wreaths Across America by the Anno Sanger Legion Auxiliary and City of Franklin had 36 wreaths displayed. The high winds moved the wreaths, thank you Sam for assistance and alert. Charline Gerdes reattached the wreaths and with assistance, all windblown displays are back. For 2026, contact a member of the Auxiliary to purchase or donate.

$200 is the new engraving cost from Palmer Brothers of Broken Bow. The price was effective January 1, 2025. They have provided all the engraving since 2001. The wall has around 150 bricks remaining open, but the cost is more. 15 spaces on two lines per brick. Note: Spaces not letters.

Confederate Veterans, 1st Lieutenant Samuel Henderson Buster, Sergeant Elias French Harmon, Private John Anthony Hatteen, Private John Hutchinson, and James Lewis Reynolds.

Franklin County has 5 Confederate Veterans of the Civil War buried 4 in Greenwood and one in Maple Grove cemeteries. I was pleased to offer a correction, Genealogy Trails History Group-Nebraska Confederate Veteran Graves now has James Lewis Reynolds honored though his service record is not posted. James had been shown as Samuel J. Reynolds. No grave is found! But, James Lewis Reynolds was a Confederate, died in Franklin County, NE. Was from Siinking Creek, VA.
