If anyone was wondering why the trucks were out early this morning.

At 03:37 hours we were dispatched to the report of a garage fire that was attached to a residence on Acadia Lane. Initial reports indicated that all people were out but there was a cat that was unaccounted for. First unit arrived on scene 9 minutes from the tone and found a fully involved garage fire that was starting to extend to the main part of the residence. Crews performed an aggressive initial attack and were able to stop the fire just feet inside the side entry door of the main residence. Crews performed a search of the residence and were able to eventually locate and rescue the cat, which we are happy to report is doing just fine! The house is salvageable, the garage is a total loss, no injuries were reported on scene. A huge thank you to all the mutual aid departments and Hancock RCC, great job by all!

The Franklin Fire Department would like to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and supported our annual breakfast this year!

We welcomed an incredible 349 guests through our doors! That’s up from 274 last year, and we couldn’t be more excited or grateful for the turnout.

Seeing the firehouse filled with friends, families, neighbors, and visitors enjoying breakfast together means more to us than we can say. Your support of our department and the time you took to come spend your morning with us is truly appreciated.

From every member of the Franklin Fire Department — THANK YOU! We are incredibly proud to serve such a supportive community, and you made this year’s breakfast one to remember.
