Macon County Veterans Service Office provides an unsurpassed personalized service to veterans and their dependents in obtaining VA benefits. Strictly controlled confidentiality is maintained at all times under penalty of law. Service Officers are required to be knowledgeable in federal, state and local laws pertaining to veterans and their dependents. This office is committed to provide innovative

services and programs to meet the new and expanding requirements of an aging veterans’ population, and those veterans returning from recent wars with new and sometimes unknown disabilities. Assistance in the following areas is provided on a daily basis:

American Legion Post 553 and WNC Veterans Purpose invite veterans and their families to a special showing of My Dead Friend Zoe on September 3 at 6:00 PM at Ruby Cinemas in Franklin.

This film brings together humor, friendship, the bonds formed through military service, and some of the challenges veterans can face after coming home. While it touches on some serious subjects, it does so with plenty of heart and humor — and we thought it would be a great opportunity to simply come together as a veteran community.

You are not alone. Together, we find purpose. 🇺🇸
