We are proud to announce that 6th-graders Aubrey and Isabella of Gifford School have each won a $5,000 prize to be deposited into a college savings plan of their choice from EVERFI's MassMutual Foundation FutureSmart Contest!

Mrs. Hendrix's class submitted essays to the contest last school year, and winners were selected in July.

Calling all Parents and Students!

Beginning Sept. 1, Racine Unified School District will implement a new student cell phone policy in accordance with Wisconsin's 2025 Act 42, which requires all public school districts to prohibit students from using cell phones and other wireless communication devices during instructional time.

What is the new policy?

Grades K–8
Students must turn off all personal wireless devices and store them away from their person (such as in a locker) from the start of the school day until dismissal.

Grades 9–12
Students must turn off all personal wireless devices and keep them out of reach during class. Devices may only be used during passing periods and a student’s lunch period.
