Congratulations to our SkillsUSA National Contestants!

These outstanding students spent the past week in Atlanta, Georgia, competing on the national stage in Additive Manufacturing, Engineering Technology & Design, and Promotional Bulletin Board. Their success is the result of months of dedication, preparation, and hard work.

We are proud to celebrate their incredible achievements, which brought home both Gold and Silver medals, along with some impressive prizes!

🏅 Engineering Technology & Design
TJ, Declan, and Jackson earned 1st Place and Gold Medals, along with $400 scholarships for each student sponsored by GM.

🥈 Additive Manufacturing
Lilli and Tessa earned Silver Medals and each received a 3D printer, courtesy of SEM.

🎨 Promotional Bulletin Board
Aaron, Mal’eyah, and Alexander faced a highly competitive field and did an outstanding job representing Gifford with professionalism, creativity, and pride.

7th and 8th grade Spanish classes at the Academies of Racine Gifford are ending the year worry free! We got the opportunity to learn about Guatemalan muĂąecas quitapenas (worry dolls). They read about Mayan folklore about the dolls and had the experience to create their own. Great job students!

🚨🚨Attention 8th grade families. It’s almost ticket time. 8th grade ceremony tickets will be distributed during homeroom tomorrow 6/5. Each student will get a ziploc bag with their name on it with their tickets. Check in tomorrow after school with your 8th grader!

Our awesome AoR 6th grade academy team went to the Kenosha Kingfish game on Monday for financial literacy day. Students enjoyed the fun and free swag items for answering financial literacy questions. Good thing All our students passed their financial literacy program in Seminar class this year! Awesome job kids.

Upcoming opportunities for your child!
Starbuck Cheer will be hosting two camps this summer at Starbuck and Mitchell:
• Starbuck: July 13th-16th 12pm-4pm
• Mitchell: July 20th-23rd 12pm-4pm
The camps are open to any current 5th-7th grade students interested in cheerleading. We are still accepting registration forms and would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with students who may be interested. Below I have attached a flyer with all of the information, including a QR code for registration.

Over 50 graduating high school seniors came back to AoR Gifford today for the Senior Call Back Event. This Gator class from 2022 is exceptional as proven by their wise words of wisdom and success shared during our Q&A session with our current 8th graders. These students were welcomed back with a congratulatory walk around the building followed by pictures, a small gift, and lots of positive well wishes. Congratulations seniors! Once a Gator, always a Gator.
