Work-based learning is a structured academic program where students engage in real-world activities with instruction occurring both at school and at a community-based setting with an employer. The experience provides students with opportunities to explore careers, master specific learning objectives, and earn academic credit under the supervision of a licensed work-based learning coordinator.

Jenn from Cotton Lake Cottage Baker visited Mrs. Drewes’ Baking and Pastries class to share her journey of turning her love of baking into a successful cottage bakery side business. Students had the opportunity to ask questions, learn about entrepreneurship, and hear firsthand about the creativity and hard work that go into building a small business. 🍰

📣 ROBOTICS UPDATE
To say proud is an understatement! Not only did the team play their hearts out and get picked to be on the 6th place alliance, they also took home 2nd place, and the Team Spirit Award from their recent Grand Forks competition! The team really came together with the common goal of being gracious professionals and making lasting impressions in the world of robotics. KAOTIC Robotics is proud to represent our school and Frazee!

Babysitting Training & Certification


This Babysitting Training & Certification course, taught by Mary Johnson, a certified instructor with the American Heart Association, is designed for pre-teens and teens ages 11 and older who are interested in babysitting, especially during the summer months as a way to earn extra money. The course helps participants prepare for the responsibilities of caring for children by teaching important childcare skills for infants through school-age kids. Students will learn how to perform basic tasks such as diapering, feeding, and dressing young children, as well as how to keep kids engaged with safe and fun games and activities. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, including how to respond to emergencies and provide safe care for infants and children. Handouts will be provided during the course, and participants are asked to bring a bag lunch. Class size is limited to 20 students to ensure a more interactive learning experience.
