Cancellation of Boil Water Notice
Frazier Park Public Utility District (FPPUD) Cancellation of Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Impacted Customers of FPPUD (CA1510007)

Este informe contiene informacion muy importante sobre su agua
potable. Traduzcalo o hable con alguien que lo entienda bien.

On April 2, 2025, starting at 9:00 am, the Frazier Park PUD had to shut off the water to approximately 712 customers plus public library and post office (approximately 2349 population) to complete mainline repairs in four different areas of town. The areas affected were Avalon, Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Lomita, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, Catalina, Pasadena, Laguna, & Alhambra Trails between Los Padres and Park View. Escalon, Buena Vista, and San Fernando. Roosevelt Trail, Encino Trail, Kiwanis, Rotary, Exchange, Main, Valley, Nebraska, Iowa, Montana, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, and Kansas Trails. East End Drive & Pine Canyon Drive. Santa Clara, San Carlos, Alma Way, Snedden Way, Piru Way, Center Way, Woodrow Way, Piedmont Way, & Hemming Way (see attached map on the back).

After restoring the water pressure on April 2, 2025, the impacted portion of the distribution system was disinfected and flushed under the supervision of a certified distribution operator from the FPPUD. On April 3, 2025, the FPPUD collected five (5) bacteriological samples from the impacted area and all five samples tested negative for total coliform bacteria.

The Frazier Park PUD in conjunction with the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water, has determined that, through abatement of the health hazard and comprehensive testing of the water, your water is now considered safe to use for human consumption.

Water Shutoff and Boil Notice

BOIL WATER NOTICE FOR THE AFFECTED CUSTOMERS OF THE FRAZIER PARK PUD

Failure to Follow This Advisory Could Result in Stomach or Intestinal Illness

On 04/02/2025, at 9:00 a.m. the following areas will be out of water until approximately 5:00 p.m. The Frazier Park PUD will be completing mainline repairs in four different areas of town. The areas affected will be Avalon, Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Lomita, Santa Rosa, San Miguel, Catalina, Pasadena, Laguna, & Alhambra Trails between Los Padres and Park View. Escalon, Buena Vista, and San Fernando. Roosevelt Trail, Encino Trail, Kiwanis, Rotary, Exchange, Main, Valley, Nebraska, Iowa, Montana,
Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio, and Kansas Trails. East End Drive & Pine Canyon Drive. Santa Clara, San Carlos, Alma Way, Snedden Way, Piru Way, Center Way, Woodrow Way, Piedmont Way, & Hemming Way. This Boil Water Notice impacts approximately 712 service connections including public library and post office.

Loss of pressure and water outage for an extended period of time may cause possible contamination of the water supply by potentially harmful microorganisms. Following completion of the work in the distribution system, we will disinfect and flush the distribution system and will be collecting bacteriological quality samples to verify the bacteriological quality of the water being served. However, this alone is not adequate to protect public health. Therefore, the State Water Resources Control
Board, Division of Drinking Water in conjunction with the Frazier Park PUD are advising the customers in the above-mentioned areas to boil their tap water or use bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes.

All tap water used for drinking or cooking should be boiled rapidly for at least 1 minute. This is the preferred method to ensure that the water is safe to drink.

Upon return of water service, if your water looks cloudy or dirty, you should flush the line until the water appears clear and the water quality returns to normal. Do not be alarmed if you experience higher than normal chlorine concentrations in your water since increased chlorine residuals are used to disinfect the lines after leaks and/or water outages occur.

You will be notified when it Is no longer necessary to boil your drinking water.

For more information call:
Please call the Frazier Park Public Utilities District at (661) 245-3734 or the State Water Resources
Control Board, Division of Drinking Water at (661) 335-7315.
