Community Table currently has several meal service dates without volunteer groups scheduled, and we need your help.

We are seeking community groups willing to support our soup kitchen by both providing a meal and serving it during the holiday weekend.

June is NationalHomeownership Month- and Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater delivered a Proclamation at the council’s meeting. As the recent Housing Study shows, the is a shortage of housing in our County, and we join in sentiment with our leadership that people deserve an opportunity to build their futures which includes homeownership.

Everyone deserves the chance to own a home and build a secure future! June marks National Homeownership Month and I am proud to recognize the programs and partnerships that help make that possible for those in Frederick County. Through initiatives like the Homebuyer Assistance Program and Housing Rehabilitation Programs, Frederick County Division of Housing is helping families achieve homeownership and supporting homeowners in maintaining safe, stable housing, creating opportunities for residents to put down roots and invest in their future.

Frederick County is grateful to work alongside many community partners who share a commitment to expanding access to homeownership. Together, we are helping ensure that the dream of owning a home remains within reach for everyone across Frederick County.

The Affordable Housing Council was pleased to provide and serve dinner at Frederick's Community Table on 6/7/26. Thanks to all the members who provided food and volunteered to serve. We had a great time talking to members of our community.

Wonderful news for our seniors and new housing.

Frederick County has been awarded $1,000,000 in federal funds to redevelop the senior center and add affordable housing units at 1440 Taney Avenue in Frederick. The federally awarded funding will help provide a modernized senior center that will be available to seniors throughout the community, while providing affordable senior housing within the same building. Public is invited to attend the Frederick County Affordable Housing Council meeting on Tuesday, March 10 at 2:30 pm at the offices of the Frederick County Association of Realtors, 490 Monocacy Blvd.

If you missed the community presentation on the just-released housing study, you're in luck. Guest speaker is Vince Rogers, head of the county's Division of Housing who will unpack the study and discuss next steps.

Residents are encouraged to consider attending the public meetings held if interested in this Board.  If you have expertise in this topic, please consider applying for a seat.  Frederick County would appreciate your perspective and service.
