By managing symptoms and easing emotional and spiritual pain, we assist individuals to live out their remaining days in peace, comfort and dignity. We strive to treat the whole person, and view the patient and family as a unit. By managing symptoms, easing emotional and spiritual pain, and honoring our patients' and families' priorities and personal choices, we assist individuals to live out their remaining days in peace, comfort and dignity, while supporting those they love as well.

Veterans deserve end-of-life care that recognizes and respects that service.

Did you know Frederick Health Hospice is a Level Four (of Five) member of the We Honor Veterans program? This national initiative sets standards for hospice agencies to honor veteran patients, connect families with VA benefits, and provide specialized training for staff.

Love felt and love given. Love withheld, and love never learned.

And so even when love among family is imperfect, or missing entirely, the spiritual work of being human is learning how to love — and how to forgive, even if it’s at the end of life.
