A new Frederick manufacturing center will produce equipment for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Rohde & Schwarz cut the ribbon this week on their Frederick location, where equipment for the country's new modernized air-traffic control system will be manufactured. The Frederick facility represents a $40 million investment by Rohde & Schwarz USA and is expected to add around 150 new jobs.

The very first Maryland Deaf Community Center is officially open, and we are proud to have this important new resource right here in Frederick.

Located along East Street, the brand new center provides a welcoming space for Deaf and hard of hearing residents to connect, learn, and access valuable resources. The center will offer a variety of workshops, activities, events and educational opportunities, including ASL classes.

This week, Frederick Community College celebrated the ribbon cutting of its newest training center.

The Miller Center for Healthcare Training, located on FCC’s main campus, will expand the college’s capacity to provide short-term healthcare workforce training programs. This will help prepare more students for careers in healthcare, as the demand for these skills continues to rise.
