This evening we celebrated the 65th Annual Frederick County Farm Bureau Little Farmer & Little Farmerette Contest, and what a wonderful turnout it was!

Congratulations to our 2026 winners: 🌾 Little Farmer: Jace Savage, son of Ryan & Ashley Savage of Knoxville, MD. 🌾 Little Farmerette: Atley Nusbaum, daughter of Marty & Whitney Nusbaum of Frederick, MD.

Frederick County MD Farm Bureau hosted the Ag Ambassador Contest at The Great Frederick Fair fairgrounds July 9th. Master of Ceremonies, .
Contestants were: Leah Spurrier, Elizabeth Schuebel, Faith May.
Each of the Contestants were interviewed separately, then returned for a final question by the Judges, who were: Mike Harrington, former FCPS Agriculture Teacher, Jackie Kreh, President of The Great Frederick Fair, Myrtle Sturtz, 4-H CLUB Leader and 4-H Horticulture Judging Coach.
After thoughtful deliberations, they announced the 2026-2027 Frederick County Farm Bureau Ambassador, she will serve a one year term.

We are incredibly proud to recognize one of our Frederick County Farm Bureau members, Savannah Fitzpatrick, for an outstanding first year in FFA !
Savannah was named Linganore High School FFA Star Greenhand of the Year, Region 2 Star Greenhand of the Year and ultimately Maryland FFA Star Greenhand of the Year.
This award is the highest honor a first-year FFA member can receive recognizing outstanding leadership involvement, academic achievement and commitment to agricultural education.
Savannah also earned 1st place in Maryland FFA Creed Speaking Leadership Development Event, securing an opportunity to represent Maryland this fall at the National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In addition, she was a member of Linganore FFA State Champion of Conduct of Chapter Meetings Team, which will compete at the National Conference in Indianapolis.
Savannah's accomplishments reflect her dedication, leadership and passion for agriculture.
We are very pleased and proud of this milestone completed in her first year of FFA membership and look forward to many more awards and accomplishments as she represents Team Maryland on the National stage.
