WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping

We Inspire, Support & Help non-profits and organizations with donations through our time and money. In such, they formed what has become WISH.

WISH was founded in early 2010 by Kathy Schultze of State Farm Insurance and Meghan Butler of Ceresville Mansion. After discussing networking opportunities within the community the two felt that women should be able to come together to help one another expand their business without the bylaws, and weekly commitments. In 2015, member Melissa Lentz was given the leadership to manage WISH. The main f

ocus changed to be community driven, to support each other along with other organizations and non-profits. Networking is still a priority, while giving back to our community. We are now an official 501c3 organization. WISH meets The first Thursday morning of every month at Canapés in Frederick. In addition, we have a monthly evening outing. We welcome anyone who would like to join. There are no requirements, other than buying your breakfast and bringing various needed items for the evening events. It was a beautiful morning with WISH! 🌟

We enjoyed hearing from Donna Batcheller Paulman during our Member Spotlight, where she shared valuable insights on health and wellness.
Our featured presenter, Leslie Schultz from SOAR, highlighted the incredible work being done to connect qualifying seniors with financial resources and services that help them live healthier, safer, and more comfortable lives.

One thing that always stands out about this group is the genuine spirit of support and service. Being surrounded by people who are committed to helping others makes every gathering meaningful—and that feels really good.✨

What a meaningful evening at WISH this month. 💜

A special thank you to Christi Roberts and Karen Wolcott for sharing about Relay For Life and providing valuable resources and support for those facing cancer or loving someone who is. For trusted information, support, and resources, visit Cancer.org or call their hotline at 1-800-227-2345.

We also recognized May as Mental Health Awareness Month, took time to celebrate moms, and most importantly celebrated one another and the strength of community.

After 13 incredible and fulfilling years, I am stepping down as President of WISH Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping 🩷

What a journey this has been. From the very beginning to growing into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, WISH has been built on the love, dedication, and support of so many amazing women and friends. You have touched my heart and soul in ways I will carry with me forever. Through life’s ups and downs, this community has been a source of strength, inspiration, and purpose.

WISH has never just been an organization—it’s been family. A place where we lift each other up, lead with acceptance, and come together to support nonprofits and organizations in our community through our time, energy, and resources. I am beyond grateful to each and every one of you for being part of this mission.

I’m so excited to share that WISH is in wonderful hands with our new Board:

We were honored to welcome our guest speaker, Elena Griffis, at our April WISH meeting. 🤍🦋

A longtime Labor & Delivery RN and now Perinatal Loss Coordinator, Elena founded The Sophia Ann Charity to support families navigating infant loss. Her organization provides vital resources and therapy support, with a heart to expand care within our community.

It was a truly meaningful and impactful conversation. We’re so thankful for everyone who joined us.

Next month, we look forward to hearing from Karen Wolcott and the American Cancer Society on Thursday, May 7th.✨

What a beautiful and inspiring morning we shared at our March 5th WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping meeting! 💐

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible speaker, Sheila K. Rohe of Bloom Aesthetics & Wellness, for pouring so much knowledge, passion, and care into her presentation. Your dedication to helping women feel confident, informed, and empowered in their health and wellness truly resonated with everyone in the room.

We were especially grateful to hear from the amazing women who shared their personal testimonials—your stories added such depth and authenticity, and reminded us all of the power of supporting one another on our journeys. 💕

It was also wonderful to welcome so many new faces! There is something so special about gathering together in a space filled with encouragement, positivity, and genuine connection. This is what WISH is all about.
