๐พ Inspiring the Next Generation of Army Medicine!
We love seeing our team engaging in the community! On June 9, team members from AMLCโs Medical Maintenance Operations Division-PA partnered with Tobyhanna Army Depot's Child and Youth Services to give local summer campers a hands-on look at the biomedical equipment field.
MMOD-PA Operations Chief George Takacs and Electronics Technician Ann Thomas introduced kids ages 5-13 to medical maintenance careers to help spark an early interest in STEM.
The highlight of the day? The team used a stuffed animal affectionately named โBow Wow the Biomedical Beagleโ to demonstrate how a ventilator works! The campers even got a hands-on opportunity to perform safe test shocks with a defibrillator.
It is incredible to see our team strengthening community partnerships and building awareness for the future of military medicine. Great job, MMOD-PA!
