The Army's medical logistics overhaul is making massive strides! Through the Medical Logistics in Campaigning (MiC) initiative, we've integrated medical materiel into GCSS-Army.

Replacing older legacy systems brought some expected initial hurdles, but it gave commanders something critical: real-time, transparent visibility of medical inventory across the entire force. 👀🌍

Thanks to that new visibility—and incredible teamwork between AMLC, DLA, CECOM and our tactical units—we've been able to aggressively target bottlenecks. The result? We've cut order processing wait times by more than 50% since the start of MiC in late 2024! 💪🪖

"Those simple best practices are what actually get the supplies out of the warehouse and into the hands of the warfighter on the ground where they belong," says Art Braithwaite, AMLC deputy director of operations.

Before any prospective recruit can raise their right hand and swear to defend our nation, they must first pass through a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). But who makes sure the medical equipment evaluating these future heroes is perfectly calibrated?

U.S. Army Medical Logistics Command’s Medical Maintenance Operations Division in Pennsylvania (MMOD-PA) supports this crucial mission! Operating out of Tobyhanna Army Depot, a two-person crew manages the MEDSTEP Direct Exchange Program. They ensure audiometers, eye scanners and vital signs monitors across 66 MEPS locations operate flawlessly.

MEDLOG All-Star Spotlight: Sgt. 1st Class Jaylan C. Barron! 🕶️✨

Join us in celebrating Sgt. 1st Class Barron, NCOIC/Chief of the Optical Activities Division at USAMMC-K!

Barron has been with USAMMC-K for nearly two years. In his role, he leads the team responsible for optical fabrication to keep U.S. and NATO forces across the INDOPACOM region medically ready to "Fight Tonight." He also serves as the KATUSA liaison, helping build and strengthen our bond with our ROK allies.

What does he love most about his job? The people! He credits his highly proficient team of Soldiers, KATUSAs and Korean local national personnel for consistently achieving outsized results through incredible resourcefulness and a drive for professional growth.

When he is off duty, he loves traveling the world, eating new foods and enjoying movie nights with his family. 🗺️🍿

He also shares some great wisdom from his grandmother: “Don’t burn bridges – you might have to cross back.” It's a reminder that treating everyone with respect and kindness is true strength.

On June 8, the USAMMC-K team laced up their running shoes for the Camp Carroll KATUSA Friendship Week Run!

This great event brought U.S. and KATUSA Service Members together to build esprit de corps, enhance unit cohesion, and celebrate our enduring partnership. Maintaining our combined medical readiness starts with building strong relationships side-by-side.

Highlighting Excellence in Medical Maintenance! 🛠️🇺🇸

On June 17, AMLC’s Medical Maintenance Operations Division in Utah (MMOD-UT) welcomed Ms. Liz Miranda, Executive Deputy to the Commanding General of Army Materiel Command, along with Ms. Nicole Osaghae (CECOM ILSC) and COL James Crocker (HQDA OIB-IO).

The visit was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our strategic sustainment maintenance capabilities. A huge thank you to MMOD-UT Operations Chief Michael Burger and MSG Travis Lang for leading an insightful tour!

A major highlight of the day was when Ms. Miranda recognized three of our own for their incredible performance and commitment to excellence. Join us in congratulating:
