๐Ÿพ Inspiring the Next Generation of Army Medicine!

We love seeing our team engaging in the community! On June 9, team members from AMLCโ€™s Medical Maintenance Operations Division-PA partnered with Tobyhanna Army Depot's Child and Youth Services to give local summer campers a hands-on look at the biomedical equipment field.

MMOD-PA Operations Chief George Takacs and Electronics Technician Ann Thomas introduced kids ages 5-13 to medical maintenance careers to help spark an early interest in STEM.

The highlight of the day? The team used a stuffed animal affectionately named โ€œBow Wow the Biomedical Beagleโ€ to demonstrate how a ventilator works! The campers even got a hands-on opportunity to perform safe test shocks with a defibrillator.

It is incredible to see our team strengthening community partnerships and building awareness for the future of military medicine. Great job, MMOD-PA!

๐ŸŒŸ Next up in our MEDLOG All-Stars lineup: Meet Christopher Rogers! ๐ŸŒŸ

Christopher is an Electronics Technician (Medical) at AMLC (MMOD-PA), where he plays a vital role in keeping our medical gear mission-ready. From calibrating to repairing, he ensures the critical medical equipment used for patient care is always functioning at its best. ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ”ง

Christopher loves that his job always keeps his mind engaged with new ways to troubleshoot and repair equipment. When heโ€™s not in the shop, you can catch him working out, walking his dog, riding his motorcycle or on a very serious quest to find the absolute best chicken parm in the area! ๐Ÿ๏ธ๐Ÿ๐Ÿถ

Join us in thanking Christopher for his hard work and dedication to the team! ๐Ÿ‘ Learn more about our All-Stars in this month's MEDLOG Monthly:https://d34w7g4gy10iej.cloudfront.net/pubs/pdf_77025.pdf

Honoring history and strengthening our alliance.

From June 2-3, USAMMC-K conducted an impactful staff ride to the Joint Security Area and the War Memorial of Korea. To deepen our understanding of our host nationโ€™s history, we deliberately integrated our KATUSA Soldiers to lead the way.

At the War Memorial, our KATUSA team led a comprehensive tour detailing the strategic realities of the Korean War, South Korea's incredible post-war development and the vital contributions of allied forces.

By viewing this shared history and the origins of our bilateral defense treaty through the eyes of our KATUSA Soldiers, this professional development event served as a powerful reminder of why we say "Katchi Kapshida" (We Go Together).

Welcome to USAMMC-K! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

On May 19, we hosted COL Ricardo D. Jones for a site visit.

The engagement kicked off with a comprehensive command briefing outlining USAMMC-Kโ€™s mission, capabilities and strategic posture in the region. Following the brief, COL Jones went on a guided tour of our facilities to see the logistical operations and infrastructure firsthand.

This visit establishes a critical foundation for future coordination and continued medical readiness on the peninsula!
