Corporation. The Carnegie Corporation, established by Andrew Carnegie, provided startup money for more that 2,000 libraries world-wide. Area residents held "book shower" to provide original collection. Grand opening was February 1916, and first book checked out was Just So Stories by Kipling.

Fraud alert: Imposters posing as well known actors contact people on social media including Facebook, establish a conversation, try to move conversation to a more private app, and ask for money, often for part of their travel expense to visit you or to show you're not just after their money. Jay Harrington and John Reardon are among several actors impersonated.
