Established in 1976, the Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging has been in business for 40 years. We put supports into place to help older adults remain in their own home or community for as long as possible. With just a little bit of support, older adults can remain at home without being placed in a facility prematurely. We have trained experts that can assist in connecting older adults to the approp

THE VIRGINIA STATE POLICE HAS ISSUED A SENIOR ALERT ON BEHALF OF THE HAMPTON POLICE DEPARTMENT ON JUNE 3, 2026 AT 0100 HOURS.

THE HAMPTON POLICE DEPARTMENT IS LOOKING FOR CLAUDE OLLIE SHREWSBURY, RACE: WHITE, S*X: MALE, AGE: 92 YEARS OLD, HEIGHT: 6'01", WEIGHT: 205 lbs., WITH BROWN EYES, AND GRAY HAIR. HE WAS SEEN LEAVING HIS RESIDENCE ON EGGLESTON AVENUE IN HAMPTON, VIRGINIA ON JUNE 2, 2026, AT 1400 HOURS. HE WAS LATER SEEN ON CAMERA TRAVELING WEST THROUGH NEW KENT COUNTY ON JUNE 2, 2026 AT 1723 HOURS. HE IS POSSIBLY WEARING A BLUE SWEATER AND BLUE JEANS. HE IS BELIEVED TO BE DRIVING A GRAY 2016 GMC CANYON WITH VIRGINIA REGISTRATION: UUK-4052.

THE MISSING SENIOR SUFFERS FROM A COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT AND THE DISAPPEARANCE POSES A CREDIBLE THREAT TO THEIR HEALTH AND SAFETY AS DETERMINED BY THE INVESTIGATING AGENCY.
