Interested in local history? Join our scavenger hunt this summer!

Adults interested in genealogy are invited to use the library’s genealogy resources to find out more about a Medal of Honor recipient, a military hero, and a vaudeville act, all with ties to Lebanon County.

The search will be released in three parts: the Marquette Edition is available now; the Patch Edition will be released June 30; and the Trix Edition will be released July 21.

Pick up a worksheet at the library’s circulation desk and use Ancestry Library Edition on one of the library’s public computers to find historical documents and answer questions about them. Completed scavenger hunts handed in at the library by August 15 will be entered into a prize drawing.

Did you know that for the reading challenge for children 8 & under Activity #13 kids can donate a food item to a local pantry? Drop an item off at the library the next time you visit!

The library continues to collect food items for JOY Food Pantry. Over the summer months the pantry will be collecting food for kids, and they're requesting these items: cereal, chicken noodle soup, canned pasta (such as Chef Boyardee), mac & cheese, peanut butter and jelly, and individual cups of fruit and applesauce.

The collection box is located in the front entryway of the library.
