This year's Mary Wash Giving Day coincides with an unprecedented time for our campus and world as COVID-19 concerns grow. After much reflection and thought, we are continuing with plans to hold Mary Wash Giving Day on Thursday, March 19, as we know it is a day of optimism and personal connection in our community. It is also integral to our ability to fulfill our mission to students.

#MaryWashDay has come to be one of the best—and most affirming—days of the year for the University, showcasing the love and commitment our alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, and community members have for our institution and those we serve.

This year’s Giving Day theme encourages all of us to #ComeTogether to help fund areas across the University. We wouldn’t be able to do our work without you, and now the impact of this global health crisis makes our need to rely on each other even greater.

While we understand that giving may not be foremost on your mind, we ask you to participate. If all you choose to provide are words of encouragement for our students, faculty, and staff, you will have made a precious gift to our community.

Please #ComeTogether on March 19 to show our care for our community and shared commitment to UMW’s mission.
