🐐🦘 A Little Animal Fun for Our Elementary Freddies! ❤️🩶

Our K–5 students celebrated the end of Quarter 1 with a special PBIS reward! 🎉 Traveling Acres brought the petting zoo to Fredericktown Elementary, giving students the opportunity to meet and interact with some amazing animals.
The highlight of each class visit? Getting to meet the adorable baby Joey! 🦘 What a fun way to wrap up the first quarter and celebrate our students!
A BIG thank you to Traveling Acres for bringing this exciting experience to our elementary students! ❤️🩶

🇺🇸 Senior Trip to Washington, D.C. | Day 3

An early start to the final day had the seniors departing the hotel at 7:30 a.m. for Arlington National Cemetery. The group spent several hours walking the grounds and watching the Changing of the Guard. 🇺🇸
Next, they navigated D.C. traffic to get as close as possible to the White House for a photo opportunity before heading to Ford’s Theatre, the historic site where President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated.
After three full days of exploring and learning, it was time to head home! The group arrived back at 10 p.m., bringing an end to a trip filled with long days, incredible sights, and memories to last a lifetime. ❤️🩶
A special shout-out to Steve, their fantastic tour guide, for helping make the trip memorable! And thank you to their bus driver, Charles, for safely getting everyone to their destinations and back home. It’s safe to say many great memories were made!

🐝 Mid-Ohio Spelling Bee Qualifier: Freddie Pride!

Last Tuesday, students in grades 4–8 participated in the Mid-Ohio Spelling Bee Qualifier, putting their spelling skills, focus, and confidence to the test! We are so proud of all our students for their hard work and the wonderful job they did. Everyone should be proud of their efforts! 👏
Each grade level was represented by five participants, for a total of 25 students competing in the qualifier. 🎉

Leadership in Action!

Over the past two weeks, our High School Leadership Council had the pleasure of welcoming three local business owners: Lorraine Davis, Scott Huvler, and Kristine Lindeman! We are grateful to each of them for taking the time to share their knowledge, experiences, and insights with our students.
Throughout their presentations, students explored a variety of important topics, including fundraising and preparing funding requests, leadership in the workplace, and the importance of communication skills in everyday life—and how those skills begin developing right here in school.

Some of the biggest takeaways for our students included:
💡 Building confidence when approaching fundraising opportunities and requesting support.
💡 Understanding what responsibility and leadership look like beyond the classroom.
💡 Recognizing that we all wear different “hats” and learning when it is appropriate to wear each one, especially when representing a group or organization in the community.
💡 Understanding the importance of including all businesses in outreach efforts—even when the first answer is “no.”

These conversations provided valuable real-world connections and helped our students see how the skills they develop in school can make a difference in their future leadership roles and throughout their lives.

🇺🇸 Senior Trip to Washington, D.C. | Day 2

The rain cleared, and the seniors were greeted with sunshine for Day 2! ☀️
Departing the hotel at 8 a.m., the group spent the day exploring some of the nation’s most recognized landmarks and historical sites. Stops included the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a group photo at the Einstein statue, a tour of the U.S. Capitol with lunch, and a visit to the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence.
The day continued at the National Museum of Natural History, followed by visits to the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial.
It was a full day of history, exploration, and memories, wrapping up around 9 p.m.!

🛍️💰 Market Day in 2nd Grade!

Mrs. Smith’s second graders brought their economics unit to life with a little creativity, a lot of learning, and some shopping fun! 🎉
Our little Freddies started as producers, creating items to sell, before switching roles to become consumers and shop around the market! 🛒
Learning about economics is even more fun when you get to put it into action! ❤️🩶
