📚🏫 HAPPY FIRST DAY, FREDERICKTOWN! 🏫📚

The Fredericktown Police Department would like to wish all of the students, teachers, staff, and families of Fredericktown Local Schools a safe, successful, and exciting first day of the 2026–2027 school year!

We also want to give a special shout-out to School Resource Officer Paxton Chilcote as he begins his 4th year serving as an SRO at Fredericktown Local Schools. 👮‍♂️

Paxton is passionate about keeping our students and staff safe, but his role goes far beyond safety and security. He works hard to build positive relationships with students, be someone they can trust, and be there when they need guidance, encouragement, or simply someone to talk to. His goal is to help create an environment where every student has the opportunity to feel safe, supported, and successful in their educational experience.

We are proud to have Paxton representing the Fredericktown Police Department in our schools and look forward to another great year!

Fredericktown, the day has arrived! Come out to Merrin Park TONIGHT and have some fun with your local first responders and have the chance to win a prize, such as a brand new bicycle!

Join us for the 2026 National Night Out hosted by the Fredericktown Police Department — a fun, family-friendly evening to connect with neighbors and local first responders.

🪑 Bring your lawn chair and relax on the grass while you enjoy the show.

🚁 Weather permitting, a medical helicopter will be landing in the park!
📟 The Knox County 911 Center and Knox County EMA will also be on site!

🚓🚒🚑 Check out police, fire, and EMS vehicles — including SWAT and the Mobile Command Unit!
👮‍♂️👩‍🚒 Meet and talk with local law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS personnel

The Fredericktown Police Department is extending our heartfelt condolences to the family of Christine and McKinley Williams as well as the family of Sgt. Scott Ries who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, the Rittman Police Department, the City of Rittman, and all others affected by the loss of these individuals.
