Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead) is a vibrant Mexican holiday that honors deceased loved ones through joyful remembrance, festive altars (ofrendas), food offerings, and marigolds rather than mourning in sorrow. We will be observing it at the library all week by offering you a chance to write a memory or thought to a loved one who has passed and add it to our decorations. We will end the week with a Day of the Dead themed Make & Take featuring crafts, snacks, and our own ofrenda.

This week at FUNdamentals we will have a "ROARing" good time with dinosaur themed learning activities. Children ages 0-5 and their adults are welcome to join us at the library.

Exciting News at Fredonia Library! We now have the ability for you to print directly from your personal device to the library printer. We still have our low fees in place. It is new for the librarians as well so please be patience as we all explore this new ability.

AI is coming to Libby in the next few weeks. Here is information about the notices and controls regarding AI.
On title details screens, you’ll see:

*An AI disclosure that reflects publisher-provided information. There are three possible statuses: yes, there are AI contributions; no AI contributions; or no information has been provided yet.
*An "AI" badge next to contributors (e.g., narrators) that are disclosed as AI.
*A way to report a content concern for titles that have an unknown AI status. OverDrive will review reported AI concerns and work with publishers to update title metadata as necessary.

In Libby, users can set their preferences for discovering titles with AI contributions via a new Content Controls menu.
This menu will present AI contribution choices in four different categories: text, audio, graphics, and translation. Each category has several options, so that people can find the right balance for them.
AI Content Controls apply to all titles in Libby, whether you’re browsing or searching. For example, if a user disallows AI audio in Libby, all AI narrators will be filtered out of search results and library lists.
